With the rapid integration of renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, and distributed energy storage, power distribution systems are undergoing a fundamental transformation toward higher flexibility, intelligence, and resilience. This special session aims to provide a platform for researchers and engineers to present recent advances, challenges, and emerging solutions in new power distribution technologies. The session will focus on innovative methods for distribution network flexibility, flexible loads control, electric energy router, large scale transportation power loads, multi-energy coordination, advanced power electronics interfaces, real-time energy management, and digital twin applications that enable autonomous and adaptive operation under uncertain and dynamic conditions.
